Students have to practice drawing, with pastel or white colored pencil on black paper, a human skull. All of the steps are in The Book. Then I bring out all of the skeletons I use for Halloween decoration and the students draw one of those on a bigger piece of paper. The main goal is for students to practice highlights and shadowing. There can be some line work, but it should not look too outlined.
